Mandatory Coaching Membership for Non-Hartswood Members:

By booking onto group sessions, Non-Members (Juniors and Adults) of Hartswood Tennis Club agreed to:

Pay a Coaching Membership fee of £25 per term to participate in group sessions. This fee allows group coaching and camps, but not court booking or private lessons. The membership will be valid for the duration of one term at a time.

This fee will be collected directly by Hartswood Tennis Club. Membership fees must be paid immediately when group sessions are booked for LOVEtennis, by following the below link, but not later than 24 hours after your group session booking.

NB if you are a parent / guardian booking for a child, you will need to login to the LTA as yourself (creating a profile if necessary) but then take membership out for the child. Please do not create an LTA login with the child’s name and details but your adult email address, as that creates all sorts of problems!

Description of the class:

These squads are specifically for our more advanced 11-13 year old players. It is invitation only and players wishing to join will need to either be invited or do a friendly play test to see if the squad is suitable.

Most players in these squads play typically play 2-4 hours of tennis a week and should be playing in some form of matches whether for their school, club. LOVEtennis match play sessions or LTA events.

Players in our invitation squads are on track to becoming very competent school/ university/club players. We expect all players to work hard, enjoy learning and improving their game.

Players will be responsible for practicing the following commitments at all times;

- to always give their very best
- to know hard work is essential to outstanding performance
- to respect all their squad members and the coaching team
- to understand that they are part of a team and that by working hard together, the whole team will improve together
- commit to playing for our team if asked
- to play in at least one match play each term

Players and parents understand that places in these squads depend on following through on the above commitments and this will be reviewed constantly during the term.

The coaching team will ensure sessions are fun, stimulating and goal driven. The team will make sure all players are giving their best at all times.

Safeguarding:

By booking onto our programme parents and guardians agree to:

1. Handing children under the age of 12 into the care of a member of LOVEtennis staff at the start of a session and collecting them from a member of LOVEtennis staff at the end of the session.

2. Our supervision and responsibility for the child, is strictly limited to the time they spend within the boundaries of our court/facility. When the child leaves these premises, responsibility for their safety and supervision transfers immediately back to their parent or guardian.

3. If a parent or guardian wishes to permit a child of 9-11 years old to travel to or from the club unaccompanied, no matter what distance, or at what time of year, they shall inform LOVEtennis in writing of this arrangement and the Hartswood Welfare Officer will be notified.

4. No child under the age of 9 should be travelling unaccompanied.

Make-Up Lesson Policy:

We understand that sometimes life gets in the way. If you can’t make a session, we’ll do our very best to offer a make-up class, subject to availability. Please note that these sessions are not guaranteed.

📧 Please request make-up sessions by emailing info@love-tennis.co.uk at least a few days in advance
✅ A maximum of 2 make-up sessions per term may be requested although these are not guaranteed
🔁 Make-up sessions cannot be rolled over into future terms or swapped for camps
🚫 No refunds will be issued for missed or unattended make-up classes

Cancellation Policy:

In the event of adverse weather or facility issues, we will cancel sessions no later than 15 minutes before the scheduled start time and notify all players via email.

We will do our best to offer a make-up session in these circumstances although this is not guaranteed.

Additional Important Information:

⏰ It is your responsibility to ensure you are enrolled in the right course and aware of the correct timing and location.
💳 Unfortunately, no refunds or credits can be issued for missed sessions or booking errors.

Players and parents should always assess court conditions before play. If you feel the surface is unsafe due to weather or other hazards, please use caution and do not play. A make-up lesson will not be guaranteed.
